Screen frames for round and rectangular screening machines

We manufacture screen frames for round and rectangular screening machines and cover them to an excellent standard. It makes no difference whether the frames come from well-known manufacturers such as Sweco, Engelsmann, Allgaier and Russel, are Telsonic frames for ultrasonic screening or are custom designs.

Areas of use

Our covered frames are used in the chemical, food and pharmaceutical industries, in the manufacture of paints and coatings, and in process and wastewater treatment.

Installation of screen decks

Correctly installed and tensioned screen decks last considerably longer. These guidelines help during installation and in day-to-day operation.

Before installation

  1. Before installing the new screen deck, carefully clean all support surfaces of the screening machine frame of adhering material.
  2. Check the rubber coverings on the raised supports for wear and correct height, and replace them if necessary.
  3. The tension rails or tension hooks must fully engage the hook strips of the screen deck.

Tensioning and re-tensioning

  1. Always pre-tension the screen deck evenly from the centre of the hook strip to the right and left; only then tension it firmly enough that it rests fully and securely on all supports.
  2. On longitudinally tensioned machines, only fit the lateral wedges once the screen deck is correctly tensioned.
  3. Re-tension tensionable screen decks after 2–4 operating hours and check that they rest fully and securely on all supports. A further re-tensioning after another 8–10 operating hours is advisable.
  4. On longitudinally tensioned machines, release the lateral wedges before each re-tensioning and wedge them firmly again afterwards.
  5. On cross-tensioned machines with a centre cover rail, re-tension the screen deck on both sides.

Operation and maintenance

  1. A daily check for tensioning faults and wear often prevents sudden downtime.
  2. Wire breakages – so-called flutter breaks – only occur when the tension is incorrect.
  3. Repair minor damage to the screen deck as soon as possible, but never weld screen decks made of spring steel wire.
  4. Replace the screen deck in good time before the wires are completely worn to avoid operational disruptions.
  5. Take care not to damage the screen deck when cleaning it.
